Ziggy Smith
Ziggy "Blaq Qane" Smith — sculptor and multimedia artist translating nonlinear narratives of Black life and mysticism into paintings, videos, animations, and fabric works. Through an Afro Surrealist lens, I approach ancestor veneration as a living, imaginative act — where mourning becomes creation, memory becomes ritual, and diaspora becomes abundance rather than loss. My practice builds an ever-expanding visual archive of my family and culture, bearing witness through altar-like installations that blur the spiritual and the everyday. Exhibition, residency, and collaboration inquiries welcome.
